It’s been basically the same game since it premiered in all its Mode 7 glory on the SNES, and it’s still just as fun now as it was then. Here, now, is footage of the upcoming Wii version’s Battle Mode:

The cool thing about this version is the online multiplayer mode, with up 12 players able to duke it out using the intertubes.
