Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. Wii looks incredible

I’ve been revisiting 1990′s Super Mario Bros. 3 for the original NES recently. It’s such a simple/complicated, easy/difficult game. Easily one of the best games of all time.

This is a gameplay video from the new two-dimensional side-scrolling Super Mario Bros. game for the Nintendo Wii, which was just released this week. If all the worlds are like this (and I suspect they are), then it’s probably not only the best 2D Mario game ever, but likely a lot more enjoyable than the 3D iterations simply because traveling between worlds isn’t so exhaustingly time-consuming (I’m looking at you, Super Mario Galaxy).

  1. It’s really nice to see that Nintendo has kept the Mario franchise up to date with modern gaming.
