Rachel Maddow on Obama’s receipt of the Nobel Peace Prize

I had never heard of Rachel Maddow before. What strikes me most from this video is how not Glenn Beck she is. It’s so refreshing. She’s quiet, soft spoken, well-informed, and insightful. I don’t think she’s necessarily unbiased, but she’s so much easier to listen to and agree with simply because she’s not yelling at us and berating those who would choose to disagree with her. I wish all television personalities had her demeanor.

Here’s her defense of US President Barack Obama’s selection as the recipient of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

  1. I like. The McCain video was unnecessary. You know what the problem is with her though. She’s too calm, and collected. The paying television customer wants to watch CNN WWE RAW. Joe the plumber comes home from a long days work punching holes into metal plates to be used as anchors on some million dollar project, of which he gets a cut of .01 %. He pulls out a frozen dinner from the freezer, pops it into the microwave, sits back on his fur laden couch, and turns on the cable. Do you think he’s switchin the channel to Rachel Maddow, or Bill Madden? Sorry my friend, truth requires attention and interest. You’ll have to club Joe in the back of the head with a sledgehammer to get either.
