Quite likely the greatest footage ever.

How much would you have paid for tickets to this:

I wish the band had kept at the same tempo instead of speeding up. He would have kept singing if they hadn’t sped up. Still, one of the most incredible on-stage moments in history.

Couldn’t possibly get better, right?

Watch the extended clip:

Has this ever happened before? Prince, Michael Jackson, and James Brown, all in their primes, sharing the stage on the same night? It blows your mind. What would the modern day equivalent of this be? I challenge you to draw a hypothetical parallel. I was stumped.

My favourite parts of the extended clip were all from Prince – hitching a ride to the stage on the back of a large man, biting his gloves off and throwing them to the crowd, his hair, his unnecessary sexuality, his jacket coming off, the fact that he was wearing that jacket at all, the lyrics he elected to (not) sing, his absurd dance (which reminded me of Rene), and his thinking that a stage prop could support his weight. Brilliant.

I remember when I first stumbled upon this. I think I watched it 10-20 times in a row, and was just blown away each time. And justifiably so. Crazy.
