My own horn: tooted.

Two good friends of mine have just launched what I understand is basically a for-profit sustainable development enterprise that connects western businesses with eastern/southern/less-white artisans. It’s a mad dope concept. Yeah, I said it. I had the privilege of naming them (Bridge People – get it? It’s a double-entendre!), designing their logo (let your eyes lose focus…what do you see? A belly dancer? Try again.), creating their slogan (maybe they’ll eventually go into telecommunications…who knows?), and designing and building their website (www.bridgepeople.org – like google.org, a for-profit venture).
I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, and I’m excited for them. They’ll ride those artisans’ tails all the way to the bank! (That was their initial suggestion for a slogan, but I steered them to my one…wisely, I suspect.)
