This is, to my knowledge, the first music video that Quddus has directed. Pretty great start. It doesn’t hurt that it’s for an amazing song. The track is Mateo’s beautiful, haunting, uplifting, and mostly acoustic remix of Jay-Z’s Empire State of Mind. Recognizable faces in the video include Victor Rasuk (HBO’s How To Make It In America), Jenna Andrews (Island/Def Jam), and Quddus himself.

Well done, gentlemen. Well done.
