Lars and the Real Girl, part 2
April 15th, 2008 | Arts, Film | 1 Comment »Finished it last night. Great, great movie. My only complaint might be that it ended too quickly. And again, that I felt pandered to. I felt the subtext was too obvious. I want to speculate, dammit! Don’t tell me everything! Even still, a great film, great acting, great writing, and superb directing. It’s a shame this didn’t get more consideration during awards season.

just saw Lars and the Real Girl, Gosling did a great job playing out his character’s psychological transition from totally dysfunctional to somewhat functional; it was nice of them to leave out the predictable small-town drama as well
