Craig Brewer, writer/director of Hustle & Flow and Black Snake Moan, has just signed on to direct the Footloose remake that Kenny Ortega was originally going to direct.

I’m a huge Craig Brewer fan. Hustle & Flow is one of the best films of the decade (even though it didn’t make my top 20), and he has a great, great eye for film. It’s going to be awesome to see what he does with this.
