Robocop….yaay…
March 17th, 2008 | Arts, Film | Comment »I was a huge Robocop fan as a kid. It probably stemmed from my love for Voltron, Transformers, and GI Joe.
Now AICN is reporting that MGM plans to resurrect the franchise with a new batch of films. They go on to make the point that a new film will never be as relevant as the original was, and then linked to this clip:
Man, what a great movie. I haven’t seen it since the early 90s, and I don’t think I ever saw the sequels. I wonder what kind of movie the new version would be modeled after? Would it be more Michael Bay or Michael Mann? Or Uwe Boll?
Apparently the sequel was supposed to be more boardroom drama than action film. Now that would be interesting.
